Celebrating a Year

9-22-16The weather has turned colder and I begin my quest to document “the last rose of summer,” my tribute to Thomas Moore. The first stanza of the 1805 poem:

‘Tis the last rose of summer,
Left blooming alone;
All her lovely companions
Are faded and gone;
No flower of her kindred,
No rosebud is nigh,
To reflect back her blushes,
Or give sigh for sigh.

  1. Ah…I’m always surprised how long your search continues…but it seems more harsh weather is predicted for the east coast…so many it won’t be an extend search this year.
