Celebrating a Year

Art changes our perspective, whether it’s a statue of a Pre-Raphaelite girl sitting on a wall, a skater on a block of ice playing violin on a street corner, or simply a beautiful performance of music disappearing into the air as it enters our hearts. Creativity knocks us for a loop, off the conveyor belt, out of the ordinary, and over the moon. I’m always glad when I see it coming toward me out of the crowd.

  1. So very true…but what is sad it is one of the things schools have been forced to remove because of governmental officials who don’t understand or appreciate the contributions the arts provided towards creative problem solving.

    • I try to instill an appreciation for creativity, but often find I’m working in an environment that underestimates its value.

  2. Perfectly expressed. Perfectly true sentiment. Thank you!

I’d like to re-blog this one too on “Into the Bardo,” if that would be okay with you.
