week 296 ~ flowers grow rain falls

with 2 comments

me 296aflowers grow rain falls
pausing we sit here
as mystery calls

our name as if all’s
fair and skies could clear
flowers grow rain falls

and each one enthralls
time so have no fear
as mystery calls

for the future sprawls
and dreams draw it near
flowers grow rain falls

 our innocence stalls
each still unshed tear
as mystery calls

out beyond these walls
listen and you’ll hear
flowers grow rain falls
as mystery calls

week 234 ~ for the rescue of memories

with 6 comments

for the rescue of memories
we stand hopelessly unprepared
extracting transcendence impaired
by innocence catastrophes
that overcome our histories
a defect of the human heart
too great to overlook yet part
of our quest to repatriate
loss until we can integrate
what we’ve forgotten and restart

week 200 ~ light falling on the daffodils

with 6 comments

light falling on the daffodils
in memory incandescent
perpetual impermanent
like a dream that my soul distills
hoping to find gold in the rills
spilling out of a long lost spring
but sadly nothing now can bring
back the innocence that believed
in the plan happiness conceived
time smiled ruefully then took wing
