week 669~ as if waiting for the moon rise
as if waiting for the moon rise
now birds fall silent insects hum
themselves to sleep dreaming of sun
watching the forest through their eyes
we welcome evening in disguise
troubles dropping by the wayside
lost in fallen acorns they hide
with past disappointments as if
they realize a single wiff
of doubt could shove our peace aside

Today P & I “take a sad song and make it better…” to quote the Beatles. We drive south to the rehab center where P’s dad currently resides for a briefing and, somber information noted, circle across the bay to a renown spot for long-promised lobster rolls and ice cream. It’s nice to have an outing, to sit in the sun and relax, for P to have a brief respite from his family worries.
