This is the boys’ last week of distance learning before heading back to the classroom. The house is a hub of activity with two schedules of classes, recess, gym, art, and both parents working. But they remember our tradition, and wake me up at 6:30 to begin watching a new cartoon adventure series before school, one we somehow will finish during my visit. They have also continued taking piano lessons remotely and I am quite amazed at their progress since October. The resiliency of kids is a wonderful thing.

I finish packing today for my early morning start tomorrow. I am not someone who does well before 7:00 AM so everything needs to be set tonight. Play choro with P, walk in the windy chill, quite a retreat from the warmth of the last week. It’s always hard to leave, to be in transition, but it will be so good to arrive. I probably won’t post until I get home, so have a good few days!
