Celebrating a Year

These 13 years have seen changes I never imagined. Two grandboys burst into being, with all the joy that brings. A new love arrived to heal my wounded heart. Brazil became a constant destination for music and amazement, not a one-time vacation fling. More books have followed my first; more CDs have been added to showcase new music found, loved, performed. I chose to leave my university job behind and, although missing the joys of teaching, negotiated the move to a freer space where music could direct my time and energy without obstacles. Yes, a vile president and a vicious pandemic upended life from its comfortable groove, but so far I and those I love have been able to navigate the rapids with dexterity. So, for the most part, the changes have led to welcome outcomes.
