We walk today, and grab lunch in the old neighborhood where my kids grew up. Stopping in the corner store we find the 102-year-old proprietor still holding court. My son slips behind the counter for a picture, and greets a childhood friend, great-grandson of the owner, who pulled over when he saw us as he drove by. I miss this place we lived for so many years, and it’s good to have a few minutes to reminisce. And a few hours to catch up with my son who I haven’t seen since I visited him in France almost two years ago.
Some moments of live are very special.
