Celebrating a Year

Tangled up in isolation. No hierarchy to the shifting maze of projects I greet each day, as days blur. It’s hard to impose an order without deadlines; hard to feel satisfaction with accomplishment when there’s no public event at the end. Hard to even clean the house when no one’s coming over for rehearsal. I’m finding that even a creative introvert can feel stifled when the isolation extends too long.

  1. Makes one think of that old saying about “being careful about what you wish for…”…solitude is one thing but isolation is another.
