Celebrating a Year

Wanting to end the month with a different vista, P and I drive back to my old neighborhood to walk in my then-local park by the bay. it’s hard to keep optimism and energy in sight at this time of year, especially this year, as we lap our year of forced isolation. My patience lapses to stoicism skirting sorrow. Get me out of here! I yell internally, realizing the impossibility of change any time soon. Still hoping for an early spring, to at least brighten the landscape.

  1. One wonders if we’ll ever be “normal” again…but near normal would be nice.
