Celebrating a Year

Today is my son’s birthday. Soon to be mine and the anniversary of the start of this poetry and photography blog. As you can see I have been absent, as I have had a hard time celebrating this year for many reasons. I will fill in some moments from the past 4+ months, because they belong in this memoir, because I have photos and verses and some delightful serendipity to post. But the task of beginning in June seems so daunting each time I think to begin, that I delay and more time slides past. So I am starting today as a promise to myself that I will try again on my birthday, to fill in the blanks and going forward continue to celebrate the daily images and weekly poems that still fill my life with joy. Today my group recorded in this lovely location. We are putting down tracks for a CD of the compositions of one of our members. All went well.
