Embedded in the sidewalk, a bit of the history of my neighborhood. What was it like here back then? My house was here and some of the others, brand new then, filling in around the original farm that still stands a few blocks off. Folks moving out of the city, but staying near. Originally suburbs but now fully urban. Although, unlike my former house that’s in a neighborhood from the 19th century, here there is more green, more room for nature. I am thankful every day for the foresight of those planners.
