Celebrating a Year

The day before my summer school begins finds me working on student arrangements, practicing for my performances, rehearsing some Brazilian pieces with colleagues, starting to pack my suitcase for a week away. This sliver of time just before a long-planned event is sometimes fraught with anxiety, sometimes quiet and peaceful, but neither is the case today. Today, I am juggling while walking ahead, still working on many fronts, but quite certain all will be in place when the curtain opens tomorrow.

  1. Sounds quite busy…but personally rewarding.
