Celebrating a Year

Iziane to the rescue! She takes one look at me over breakfast and says she is going to make me a “strong soup” to cure me. It is full of vegetables I haven’t seen before, and lots of ginger and garlic and is delicious. She also makes a tea of ginger garlic and lime juice that tastes so amazingly strange that I can’t decide if I like it or not. I hang out at home, reading, send my regrets to the roda I was supposed to play in tonight. There is no fun without health, so I set my priority to regain mine without allowing room for set-backs. I also decide not to post on this blog until I have recovered, not wanting to worry my friends unnecessarily. So now you know that all will be well a couple of days hence.

  1. Good to have someone who can provide a little touch of home when you’re not feeling well.
