I head down to school, not to teach but to discuss and set up logistics for my mandolin summer school. Afterwards I stop at my office to continue cleaning it out, and greet my colleagues still holding up the music banner here. I am part but also not part of this. One semester on sabbatical left. A new student pops in my office to ask about signing up for piano lessons. And I answer, as if things were as they always have been.
