10-15-16It’s a beautiful day for our annual girls-outing, and we drive north through ever more colorful foliage to Fruitlands, an early Transcendentalist experiment in communal living started by Bronson Alcott– Louisa May’s brother. Now a lovely mix of trails, historic museums, and a great cafe for lunch, we hike, laugh, chat, and enjoy this sunny and relaxing day. One plus for me, getting to see Jo’s garret, from Little Women, where she, and the author who created her, would escape to write.
