Celebrating a Year

9.29.15As September wanes, I begin my annually documented quest to photograph the last rose of summer, in honor of Thomas Moore, who wrote:

‘Tis the last rose of summer
Left blooming alone;
All her lovely companions
Are faded and gone;
No flower of her kindred,
No rosebud is nigh,
To reflect back her blushes,
To give sigh for sigh.

It does look like there is still a rosebud nigh, so I hope my search will go on for some weeks.
