6.13.15A neighbor entrusts me with her father’s mandolins, wanting to get them to a good home where someone will play them and love them. Though we would, we can’t keep everything that reminds us of the past, although it’s hard to part with talismans of happy days now gone. Objects open doors to movies only we can see, replaying in our memories alone events that were part of our pathway to who we find ourselves to be just now.
