week 343 ~ if we could always be laughing

with 2 comments

me.342if we could always be laughing
this moment when we resemble
the gods would not be time passing
joy wouldn’t need to dissemble

this moment when we resemble
the sunset over the water
joy wouldn’t need to dissemble
we’d be fortune’s son and daughter

 the sunset over the water
beckons us on swimming like fish
we’d be fortune’s son and daughter
at the horizon all we wish

beckons us on swimming like fish
through these enchanted flowing streams
at the horizon all we wish
this time we’d salvage ship-wrecked dreams

through these enchanted flowing streams
the gods would not be time passing
this time we’d salvage ship-wrecked dreams
If we could always be laughing

  1. Laughter does have a way of salvaging ship-wrecked dreams…such a delightful feel to this poem.
