Celebrating a Year

11.25.14A gift of flowers from P. brighten my table as I return home from my 1-day work week, piles of tests and papers to grade in hand. The semester will roll to a close soon and we will be off to Brazil. But first there are the days of reading, correcting, adding up points and efforts to distill a fair summation of effort expended and lines toed. But for now Thanksgiving beckons, so I have also unloaded bags of groceries in preparation for the traditional feast. And it’s good to know there’s still a long week-end after to get my school work accomplished.

  1. Hmm…too bad those papers can’t self-grading…ah but then you’d miss the joy of seeing how well the students processed you teaching.
