week 264 ~ reach out and touch you
reach out and touch you
as you float away
it’s all I can do
can’t make this time stay
as you float away
have to dry my tears
can’t make this time stay
then your smile appears
have to dry my tears
you’re where you should be
then your smile appears
that makes me happy
you’re where you should be
I love you you know
that makes me happy
now before I go
I love you you know
it’s all I can do
now before I go
reach out and touch you
As a mother, you must be pleased with what your son has accomplished…yet feeling of sadness as this chapter of your life writes a new beginning.

Yes, it’s that when the kids move out and on. Pride and sadness. Or “saudade”.

It’s wrenching, isn’t it? But part of life … your poem says it all.

So hard to leave them in their lives and go back to ours. But it is the only way.
