week 224 ~ bright and cold I shiver
bright and cold I shiver
walk on past yesterday
watching as hopes quiver
pause to let a sliver
of life just float away
bright and cold I shiver
sunlight floods the river
there’s no chance it will stay
watching as hopes quiver
time knows I can’t give her
any more room to play
bright and cold I shiver
lost images live blur
my resolve not to stray
watching as hopes quiver
hearing the plaintive whir
of life’s long brave melee
bright and cold I shiver
watching as hopes quiver
There is a sense of awareness of the intersection of wishes with the cold reality that life presents us in the poem…those things we must confront but never really brought to the surface of our daily lives…deep emotions here.

The contrast between loss and hope well illustrated in this, reflecting your life right now, I think … but it’s most of our lives, most of the time.
Nicely done … and picture perfect.
