Celebrating a Year

As summer draws to a close I’m finally getting to the home fix-up chores I planned to accomplish back in my over-optimistic spring. I really do enjoy painting, patching plaster, seeing an obvious improvement right in front of me at the end of the day. As a teacher and musician I rarely get such immediate feed-back on progress. As a fixer-upper I work somewhat by trial and error, often going the long way round to get a good result, but there is an undeniable pleasure in seeing the improvement a bit of elbow grease can make no matter how long it takes to accomplish.

  2. Can be quite rewarding fixing those little and large items around the home…of course I almost always end the project with some minor injury..no matter how careful I am…but the job gets done…have fun doing your repairs.

    • Thank! Yes, injuries, usually small, are just a part of the process as far as I can see.
