The solstice– winter here, summer at home. Today is spent with friends. I meet Mariana for lunch and visit her brand new apartment. She is still in boxes and painting, but moved here officially a couple of days ago. An artist, she has created a ladder display as an island of sanity in the middle of the hub-bub. She is now living close to my favorite Edson Folk Museum, but it’s closed for renovations. So I walk in the park and discover that the museum’s annex is still open with a small show,
and there are Rio +20 tents set up for discussions and performances. I catch one in progress. Then I’m off to Romulo & Cecilia’s to get some music, share some of my discoveries and have dinner. Home just before the downpour to pack for my adventure in Sao Paulo.
So many warm exeriences to warm those cold NE nights. ;-)
