Celebrating a Year

The last of 3 student concerts this week, and the one I am running, goes off without a hitch and with good humor. A performance class for music lesson students, the event gives them a chance to perform what they have been working on, show the friends-&-family-only audience what they can do, and realize what it’s like to be on stage. Afterwards everyone mills about in the lobby at the reception, excited by all the music made. And after that, we faculty repair to the local tavern to toast our semester wrap-up as we head into exam week.

    • This is the 2nd semester I’ve done this, and it is truly a wonderful new tradition.
