Celebrating a Year

It’s raining, again. On a happy note it is putting our drought to rest, and my backyard lawn is as green as a golf course. But I am getting tired of teaching in wet shoes. Last classes today, and all the papers and essays somehow got graded in time to hand back. And now it’s time to start in on the final papers from the other classes. Oh, and to write the final exams for next week. Had a happy conversation in office hours with my two graduating music-major advisees, who are looking more relaxed now that they are just 10 days away from their diplomas. I’m tired, true, but all is right, if slightly damp, in my world.
