Celebrating a Year

We are getting to the part of the semester when learning is starting to kick in, when my students begin to get it. The understanding of a concept– and sometime the amazement at understanding– becomes apparent on their faces. There are more hands up to comment, and more of what they say resonates. It is a simple rite, this passing along of knowledge, but it is neither easy nor predictable. So it is always a great delight to see it when it shows up.

    • It truly is a privilege and, when it works, a great pleasure.
