me19locked securely in the heart of music
I’m free to navigate all I can dream
or hope or imagine though it might seem
invisible to some it’s neither trick
nor illusion but an open door to
the parallel stream of reality
where I hold an all-access pass to the
show of a lifetime mine that is and who-
ever else can see the arrow fly straight
to that indefinable other I’m
aiming for if it connects or fails time
alone will judge now I appreciate
simply the moment I am truly me
anticipating all that this could be

  1. Music takes us to a world where everything seems very possible.. where peace reigns supreme, and where the heart seems to be at ease…
It really is a lovely thing to feel, and a great place to be in!

A beautiful poem explaining this feeling, Marilynn… I share your sentiment completely!

  4. Oh the wonderful worlds we can reach through music. I’m going to go put on a CD right now, something classical I think. Thanks, Marilynn.

  6. This is lovely. It reminds me of the song “Private Party” by India Arie. A world of wonders are we! Beautiful piece as usual :)
    Enjoy the potluck!
