I’m out early to get the needed papers for my new house closing tomorrow, thankful my bank is still open. After that I locate flashlights, and spend the day indoors catching up on school work, and this blog, while my back yard fills up with water and leaves. The best part of the day is a half-hour chat with my son from Paris, as he calls to check up on the hurricane panic that has even reached to Europe. As I write this, high tide is still a few hours off and Sandy hasn’t yet made land yet, but destruction and power outages abound. It’s a nasty day outdoors and I’m glad to be busily occupied inside, still with lights, phone, and refrigeration.

Best to avoid being out in that weather…it’s a good day for catch up…stay safe my friend.

I’m glad you were safe. Good luck with the new house.

Yes the storm turned left before it reached us and has mightily upset your beloved NYC, although sparing us the worst, except those living right on the coast who have lost houses.
