“The Lady” has hung in my daughter’s bedroom since she was a little girl. Discovered in a hidden recess of her grandparents’ barn, she claimed it, brought it home, and slept by it for years. Now it is traveling by truck to her new house 1000+ miles away, where she finally has a wall big enough to hold its awesomeness. So this is its last shot in its longtime spot, as Lady and Spot continue on to other lives.

When I was growing up…we had a picture…painted on glass of the Palace of Versailles…years later..it was one of the few reminders of my childhood which I obtained from my family after my mother’s death…such memories can never be replaced…I’m happy for your daughter.

Yes, we do treasure the objects that link us to childhood.

What an amazing thing to find this in a barn. Wonderful that it’s being enjoyed!
