week 206 ~ which box marked fragile holds your heart
which box marked fragile holds your heart
he asks I don’t know what to say
I wrap my past pack it away
there isn’t any easy part
and though it’s time for change to start
each object holds a memory
together they have defined me
now some will stay and some will go
but I am who they made me so
my heart’s in every box you see
thanks to Sam373 for the inspiration

Quite like the whole concept of the poem.

Very nice. I like it, relate to it as I continue my downsizing. I think “which box marked fragile” is a memorable line. It would make a great jumping-off point for another poem or story. Nice!

Feel free to use it, my friend– it came to me from a commenter on this blog.

I too moved and downsized recently and your poem immediately
caught my attention. Your words sum up everything into a little box of truth.
