Celebrating a Year

Accomplished poised musicians, and yet still girls– we spend hours this morning shopping for jeans and other sundries, chatting cheerfully about their finds. It’s the first time I’ve scoured the store for size 2 petite since my daughter was a little girl, but it’s fun to simply stand in the middle of all their excitement guarding the shopping cart. I make us dinner for lunch, as the rest of the day our schedules veer apart, and head off to school for appointments and a farewell party for a colleague moving on to his dream job. As I arrive home my friends are in the final flurry of packing up for a concert out of town. I send them off and spend a blissfully quiet evening, storing up energy for the events of the next two days.

  1. As much as I enjoy having friends visit…it does seem to drain a bit of you overall energy…have a relaxing day. :-)
