Celebrating a Year

Sadly, today is a beach day for my friends, but not for me. I need to have 4 course syllabi and attendant music lists ready for Tuesday, and I have been pushing that task off to the side until the last moment to focus on my music. And today, while not the absolute last moment possible, is the last moment sanity will permit me to procrastinate to, understanding the consequences of a log jam further on down the road. I do love teaching, and I’m a hard worker. It’s just the working-on-someone-else’s schedule that is hard to re-harness myself to after a summer of my own timeframe. But I’ll be glad when this job is done well. And so I get to it and at the end of the day one is done.

  1. Oh…now you’ve made me feel guilty…I spent the weekend in the mountains attending a jazz festival. :-)

    • And I hope you had a brilliant time! No guilt, my friend, I have fun too.
