Some scores are tidied up and sent off. Others undergo yet another set of revisions. I am in haste to finish these music projects before the new semester hits like a tsunami, in 6 days, sweeping all creative work aside until I can come up for air a couple of weeks hence. September looks packed full of things-to-do in addition to getting my courses off the ground, with Brazilian visitors twice, a recording session and concert to give, concerts to see, and a trip out of state at month’s end. So I work on and manage to accomplish alot of what needs doing. As evening falls I join a friend on a beautiful lawn rolling down to the water and we sit in white Adirondack chairs sipping G&Ts and chatting to passer-bys. It’s poignant to realize we’re bidding farewell to summer.

Oh…and winter shall soon be upon you there…sorry to bring that topic up…but it helps one enjoy the beauty of fall. ;-)

Boy, are you a downer, my friend. It’s in the 80s and humid now so winter seems v.far away.
