All visits must end, and today I pack and head for home. Sad to go, but a good feeling to know they are all doing well and that we can still intersect with honesty and relevance. I spend the morning at my daughter’s new job, hanging out with my grandson, going for a walk in the woods, not getting lost. She takes a half-day off, we eat a leisurely lunch, then to the airport and I’m on my way. This has been a summer of trips and visits and now I’m staying put for the next couple of months. The schedule is looking packed already, with teaching starting in only 3 weeks. A new recording will be starting too which has me smiling. So life moves ahead and the past floats off. Though I wish I could hold my family close forever, I have to be satisfied to preserve these days in pictures and treasured memories.

Such memories…are the fruit of your labor of love…it is good to taste of them. :-)
