i wake up and heat water for coffee over the fire… in my kitchen. But still vestiges if island peace hang in the air. It’s a beautiful day and my friend Grace is in from the west coast so we have lunch and sit on my back porch catching up. As she leaves she says this is the most relaxing afternoon she’s had in ages. Always a good thing.
