week 185 ~ pieces of the puzzle
pieces of the puzzle
scattered now forever
drift beyond meaningful
responding to the pull
of my heart I sever
pieces of the puzzle
to fight would be futile
as I watch another
drift beyond meaningful
existence while chattel
I can’t reconfigure
pieces of the puzzle
that aren’t mine but equal
parts without an answer
drift beyond meaningful
love has paid the devil
far too much and bitter
pieces of the puzzle
drift beyond meaningful

a puzzle like that should be swept aside. may be with time it will become meaningful or else it should be allowed to sleep.
whats the use if it becomes over elusive.

We seem to want to give meaning to everything…but I think not all things have meaning…they are random events which follow no logical pattern to fit into a puzzle…oh just a random thought brought on by your poem.

ugh that last stanza is a heart wringer….some puzzle pieces fit, some dont and some days it seems someone has poured several puzzles into the same box…sorry your metaphor sent my mind spinning…good.
