Being true– to yourself, to the music, to obligations, to your purpose, to every commitment made however vaguely worded– is an attribute one earns as a result of habit. The more honest you are, at every moment of every day, the easier it is to stay the course you have set. Great achievements are built on a foundation of truth and accomplished by making follow-through a habit. We become who we are not in a blinding flash of inspiration, but by applying layer after layer of what we do every day. Big things follow the pattern we establish for little things. it’s good to remember this every so often, especially when one feels the abyss looming somewhere under cover of confusion.

A most interesting perspective…such layering would explain why one should never assume they can ‘change someone”…hmm…hadn’t thought of it in that way before…a brilliant post.

And your comment adds an interesting perspective as well, my friend. As you can see, my brain is wrestling to reconfigure some long-held concepts in the face of new input.

thanks. truth is the easiest way of life in the end, because there is no subterfuge to keep track of.
