Inspiration hardly ever comes to those who wait. It prefers those who work and try and fail and try again. Not those who court it with furrowed brow and pensive sighs, but those who attack the mystery without armor, hoping to tease a murmur out with pages of writing, stacks of canvases, endless streams of abandoned notes, while knowing they can count on nothing. Creativity is a gift and a curse. Do don the garments if they fit you, but don’t assume a miracle will make the journey right at the end of the road. Because it’s all about the road.
