Celebrating a Year

What are you doing up so soon, my purple friend? Don’t you feel the ominous snow predicted for tomorrow? There is a poignant pleasure in flowers that bloom too early, knowing they have erred in their seasonal judgement, but loving their boldness for responding to the first siren song of spring. I am hoping that perhaps, like the human heart, they are stronger than we might at first think.
