Celebrating a Year

week 85 ~ this moment reflects time and place

with 40 comments

this moment reflects time and place
a hologram that can contain
all particulars that pertain
to my coordinates in space
but I won’t be here long the pace
of life pushes me down the road
and I try but it doesn’t bode
well for attempts to formulate
a self-portrait that I’m still wait-
ing for the future to upload

  4. love it mair, i love the way you write and that aspect of life being a hologram — that is now i see it, always changing color, always changing shape, hard to get coordinates in this space…with time flashing by not enough to create that self portrait we all want to finish of ourself ..lovely and thought worthy….
I see you are in Rio – my husband leaves tomorrow for Sao Paulo on business (second trip) — Read your Bio -your love of music and writing – very nice.

    • Thanks! Yes, life too often just races us past what we haven’t yet digested. Not in Rio at the moment, but often– I play music there. Lot of Rio pics on my music website. So much to love in Brasil, as I’m sure your husband agrees.

  9. Isn’t it wild how fast life passes. Zoom!
I like your descriptions of the forms of poetry on your side bar. That helps and sometimes makes poems have more meaning. Lovely poem today. The rally is a favourite part of my week too. :)

  19. Your poem begins on a grand scale and weaves successive lines in which I find, optimistically, the formulation of a portrait in progress. Also like the multiple frames in the photo.
